Mr. Viorel Manole was born in Galati, Romania in 1962 and graduated from the Aircraft Faculty of Bucharest – University Politehnica Bucharest in 1986 with a Masters of Science Engineering (10 from max. 10). He started his career in the Romanian MoD, reaching the position of Deputy Director for R&D Procurement Department in 1998. he then received a Masters Degree from Ecole Nationale de l`Aviation Civile in Toulouse France. He left MoD in October of 2000 and was appointed Executive Director of C.N. ROMARM S.A. where he remained until 2003. He was then appointed CEO and Chairman of the Board of ROMAERO Bucharest. He has trained in Foreign Military Sales at the Defense Institute for Security Assistance Management located in Dayton, Ohio and graduated in 2000 from the courses of National Defense College of Bucharest. In 2005, he joined the Private Sector as Senior Vice President Strategic Business Development at UTI GROUP and in 2008 won the competition for Executive Director of Romanian Lottery. From 1998 to the present, he has been a member of the Board of AEROTEH S.A Bucharest and from 2014 to the present, he has been a member of the Board of PROOPTICA. He was elected executive director of PATROMIL the Romanian National Defense Industry Association in 2009, he is very active in his position at NATO and European Defense Agency. He is married and he has a daughter and a son. Speaks fluent English and French, Romanian Mother Language and Italian independent.
