Thabang Mashifane holds a B Soc Sci, LLB (Hons) & LLM and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Serving in her current role as a senior member of the Armscor legal team, with over 17 years’ experience as an in-house counsel in the public sector.
Thabang provides legal advice on general corporate and commercial law matters and transactions, legal advisory and litigation management. This includes but not limited to drafting of policies and documentation whilst interpreting and drawing from variety of legal disciplines; participating in contractual decision-making meetings, drafting and negotiating contracts and in addition also facilitating and mediating legal discourse.
In her cross-functional legal support role she provides continuous assistance to ensure proper execution of the Armscor Defence Industry Participation (DIP) mandate. In addition, she is developing and maintaining constructive relationships between stakeholders internally and externally in order to promote synergy and build a productive business environment.
Outside of work, her personal interest include nature walks / hikes and aspiring to embark on the South African version of the Caminos.
