Ms. Pillay has served as the Senior Manager for NIPP since 2017, overseeing portfolios in commercial aerospace, defence, marine, automotives and pharmaceuticals, as well as energy, rail, and information and communication technology. With 25 years of experience in various government departments, she brings extensive expertise in public sector operations and strategic programme implementation.
In her current role, she is responsible for negotiating strategic partnerships and obligation agreements with successful bidders supplying goods and services to the State. She provides both strategic and administrative support to ensure the effective application of NIPP Guidelines, maximises local industry benefits.
Ms. Pillay holds an MBA and has previously served as a senior manager responsible for strategic management in the Office of the Director-General. She has also acts as the interim Chairperson of the Industrial Participation Control Committee (IPCC), where she contributes to the adjudication and oversight of key national projects.
