Before serving as State Counsellor to the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Romania, Florin-Marian Spătaru was appointed Minister of Economy in November 2021. Prior to that, he served as President of ANCONAV, the Romanian Shipbuilding Association, since 2013, and as HR & Corporate Affairs Director at Damen Shipyards since 2018. During his tenure at ANCONAV, his responsibilities included representing the Romanian Shipbuilding Association in SEA Europe (The Shipyards’ & Maritime Equipment Association of Europe) and OECD Council Working Party on Shipbuilding – WP6. In 2009, he studied at the London Business School, and in 2007 he graduated from ‘’Dunărea de Jos’’ University of Galați.
