The presentation will cover the role of the regional development agency in implementing the Industrial and technological Benefits policy in the regions of Quebec.
As the organization that oversees the implementation of the Industrial and Technological Benefits Policy, administered by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISEDC), CED is responsible for ensuring that Government of Canada procurement generates high value-added business. Within this context, CED promotes the capacity of Quebec businesses and research centres among contractors that are either interested in bidding on, or have been awarded, a contract for a procurement project worth more than $100 million (with some exceptions) from the Department of National Defence or the Coast Guard. These contractors are required to carry out commercial activities in Canada equal to the value of the contracts obtained.
Eleonora started her career as marketing manager for Dominis Engineering, a SMB based out of Ottawa focused on the production of naval propellers. She then worked as executive assistant to the President and responsible for Stakeholder Relations for the subsidiary of Naval Group in Canada. She joined the Industrial and Technological Benefits Team at Canada Economic Development for the Quebec regions in February 2022.
