The presentation will address the opportunities and challenges of African markets country by country and sector by sector. It will propose several possible pragmatic approaches for the development of the continent’s industrial capacities by insisting on the possibilities offered by industrial participation (offset, offtake, PPP, etc) in a high-risk international geopolitical context.
Christian Sylvain is the founder and chairman of Judian International Consultancy Limited since 2016, an East Africa-based company that primarily serves Africa and the Middle East mainly dedicated to providing services on international trade, local investments, research and innovation, public procurement and creation of added value, which are essential to develop industrial capacity.
He has been working in large international groups for 45 years and acquired his experience on all five continents working with Africa since 1976. He was the founder and president of the European Club for Countertrade and Offset, Vice president industrial participation for the AREVA Nuclear group for 16 years. He sat on the board of ARECSA Human Capital, a South African company and was Associate Expert at the European Center for Law and Economics during many years.
Graduated in science from the University of Limoges (France), has Master degree in Finance from EM Lyon and a Master degree in International Management from ESSEC Paris.
